GET TO KNOW US

We are fourth year mechanical engineering undergraduates from The Illinois Institute of Technology. Our work is focused on achieving the best methods of production in terms of light weighting and cost while still hitting set functional requirements. We look forward into getting to put our experiences through our education to use and to the test.

EXPERIENCE

What We've Done

As undergrads in our field, we have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, some traditional and others outside the box. We know how to take on new challenges and contribute to companies in a way that is smart, meaningful and valuable. Want to know how we do it? Get in touch and let’s discuss it, as well as how we can make a contribution to your business, projects and clients.

Coffee Table Soda Dispenser

Rough Prototype

For this project the idea here was to create a product that can be placed in the center of a living room much like a coffee table and have it dispense a soda for you without the need of having to get up. The image above is a cardboard prototype of the interior.

THE WRAPINATOR

Prototype 1

For this project, the idea was to create a product that would help facilitate the wrapping of gifts. This idea was supposed to work like a printer. The idea here was to load the printer with wrapping paper, let the user input the dimensions of the box and then have the printer print out where to cut and fold to perfectly wrap the gift. This would get rid of any guess work.

Wrapinator Alpha Prototype

The idea for this project is a continuation of the previous one. Instead of using a printer, however, a projector on a stand was used instead. The stand was made by all the team members drafted on SolidWorks. The projector displayed an image on wrapping paper showing the same lines the printer would have. This was more of a software-based solution to the problem.
